Is it worth submitting a lot of CC's like this one?

Just perusing the old bay today and I came across a group of raw UNC CC morgans, common date. 2 of the 3 were very baggish, 1 was decent with some nice toning. And it made me curious do raw unc common CC's even get submitted anymore? Since the difference in price between raw and slabbed is so little, I just dont see how a lot like this one, would make sense to submit to our hosts? What are your thoughts, do you think common date CC's are worth submitting unless gem?

I wouldn't bother but it depends on what you're doing with it. If a reputable coin dealer is selling an UNC CC, it's not a problem. If Larry and Curly throw them on ebay, you might need them to be slabbed.

That said, you won't recover the slab fees in the sale so you are likely better selling them to the reputable dealer.

I would not do it if you think it’s 63 or under ... unless it’s a key date like the 89 or something. But... one thing to add is that there are a lot of fake CC’s out there....

As others have said, I wouldn't bother. I don't think the coins are fake but the photos are so over-exposed, it's pretty hard to really evaluate the coins.

    You must like gambling...

I would not buy those raw. It’s simply not worth the gamble.

With PCGS coins there is no reason to buy raw expensive numismatic coins (material over $50-$100). Now if your in the business and gambling on an estate or collection of raw material then hedge your bet accordingly.

However if I picked up a raw lot like that I would submit them to our hosts.

I would pass on those coins... Raw, poor pictures, overpriced. Cheers, RickO

Based on the pics they are NOT overpriced @ $510.

Over $600 you are getting close.
