Modern Patterns

Roger Burdette and I purchased this collection and it was the basis for his book, so virtually all are the plate coins:
NGC-certified INCO and Gould Patterns Offered in Heritage Sale | NGC
The fascinating numismatic collectibles were created amid the upheaval in US coinage that occurred during the 1960s and 1970s.

Would have been nice to have Roger and your provenance on the slabs.
Someone else here had a nice collection of these I believe.
I was pleased and proud to assist on that book. Wrote my first article on the Merica pieces 40 years ago.
Would be nice to have some PhotoVision files. Anyone have any of these?
There are over 150 coins but only two with smaller images in the article.
Nice, I do like those very much.

Looking at the article more closely, it’s interesting that the NGC article doesn’t mention any owners of these coins either and only lists Roger as the author.
Can they update the article to add your provenance?
@therealjulian.... Welcome indeed....Thanks for the link. Cheers, RickO
Take a look, as there are many that are currently selling for $1.
I was hoping to get some for $1 but alas no luck! Prices seemed pretty strong to me across the board. Even the environmentally damaged piece went for over $300! What do you think of the results?
I won the INCO 50 cent for $660 and was the underbidder on the one for $960. I gave up when the next bid increment would have pushed me over $1k. Both are MS66 but mine has a PhotoVision but the other doesn't. Any thoughts on why?
Anyone else participate?
