If you could only have one Anniversary Dollar, would you pick the CC Morgan or a Peace Dollar.

Not a fan of the Morgan Dollar and the Peace Dollar is one I used to collect before Pre-33 gold took hold of my checkbook.

I saw the cc privy ,live on tv last night. They also showed the S Morgan. The cc looking very cool. The S was tiny and disappointing. The privy has an elevated platform that causes it to stand out. I reserve until in hand.🤨

@Jzyskowski1 What was the finish like on them? Were they satiny like ASE's or more frosty?

I voted the CC privy, mine is on the way. Received the shipped email last night. Cheers, RickO

I think the Peace dollar will look the best out of any of them, so that's what I'd prefer. The Morgans won't have the correct crispness of the design or in the luster.

I vote for the peace dollar because there is only one 2021 peace dollar but five different Morgan’s. Also, I think the peace dollar looks cool.

@ricko As of this entry, you are the only one that voted Morgan. I would've liked the CC Morgan too, but think the CC looks too much like tv's Closed Caption symbol. Would've been great to have it look like the original mintmark.

I like the 2021 Peace Dollar. Since the first Peace dollar was minted 100 years ago this year, I think it is more appropriate for a 100 year anniversary issue.

I didn't get either but if I would have it would have been the Peace dollar. I like the Peace design much better than the Morgan.

Easy choice. I think the Peace design looks really good and will get one. I'm underwhelmed by how the Morgan design looks and the CC privy doesn't do anything for me, so it's a no from me.

I prefer the Morgan but I don't like the NJ in an oval. Peace Roy

There was no 1921 CC dollar so that is technically not an Anniversary dollar. So a 2021 P Morgan or 2021 Peace would be my choice if I were ever to get one.

In my opinion, the 1921 high relief peace dollar is among the best coins of the 20th century! It’s high relief provides a “rolling” cartwheel effect and it is just an amazing coin if you can find a rare strong strike then you’re lucky. A good 1921 peace dollar is super rare - more than folks realize. And the 1921 CC Morgan never even existed - end of discussion!!

All I need now is the 1921 PROOF (I’ll take either satin or matte - I’m not picky) but will need to pass a collection plate to get that one... but I would trade every coin I have for a 1921 proof coin - that’s how much I love these coins. And it is NOT because of all the recent hype and the anniversary ... no sir! I have been a fan of this coin for decades! I have several nice examples and decided a few weeks back to get one graded (the first one above is now in “quality check” for several days now) - I’ll let you know what it grades but I’ve had experts over the years tell me it’s at least a 65 - we shall see. Any predictions?

And btw - im a newbie on this board but big collector for many years. I’m 50 years old but will turn 51 later this month :(
Been collecting for years and my dad got me into it and he passed away last year. The collection he passed on started with his father and so it just stays in the family. My name is pronounced “shay” - so glad to be here!! Love coins and mostly collect peace dollars (all UNC) and CC Morgan’s. I also like S Ike’s (the blue Ike’s) and I really love 1964 and bicentennial high grade business strikes...!! I also like ASEs / and have all the 2020 and 2021 versions....

Looks like wear on the high areas. I will guess AU 55-58. There’s some thing on the obverse. A rub in front of the eyes. Don’t think cleaned details but maybe. Its got a splotch on the neck. Very nice coin. 64-65 if it clean and the photos perhaps don’t do it justice. I am new to grading but enjoy practicing. 😉

I wasn’t able to get a peace $. Will have to buy one or do a trade for a Morgan CC.

Ouch! I hope it is better than AU! I have several graded AU and have a few MA62s / this coin is way better than those!!
We will see but I hope it is higher than that, I wouldn’t have sent it in for AU grade, or even under 62 for that matter!
I have seen 65s before that don’t look as good as this one. The strike could be stronger but the luster is thick on the coin - pic probably not doing it justice
