I can't go, but I've always wanted to make the trip to a major Mexican/Mexican-focused convention to see if there are any choice chopmarked pieces.

I wish but would cut into my annual coin budget to much. Living in Canada has it's downs as a collector for coin shows. Enjoy your time there.

Intimate setting at the Scottsdale Hilton
About 30 dealers attending.

Of course Mexican and South American coins were mostly featured .

What was also very nice was the fact Hwritage and Stacks and Sedgwick has brought lots for viewing !

Both Cris and Matt were there ( who head up the world coin department for Heriatge and Stacks respectively).

Heritage sponsored a social gathering poolside Thursday early evening …quite nice .

However a big shoutout to Worldwide Numismatics LLC who really put the effort and cost to offer this venue …they do a great job and our generous with their time and talent .

Kent Ponterio and his wife hoated a wonderful party at his beautiful home in Cave Creek with authentic Mexican food and open bar. He does theirs every year .

Thinking I need to give back something I made a donation in cash and coins ( for their auction held Thursday evening) where proceeds went to the USMEX to keep their website updated with interesting educational materials.

Great organization and great people there
I encourage all to join .

As far as the bourse it was very active the first two days and died off on Saturday .

I have to hand it to the professional coin dealers who have great relationships with other dealers and their customers to source coins ….
Which they did !

And they set up very fast .

I did some business with Mike Dunnigan and Worldwide Numismatics LLC and Adam Biago who gets around faster than any dealer I have ever witnessed.

Added some 8 reales cap & rays to my core collection ( full retail )

Had a lot of fun viewing great coins and attending some of the educational seminars offers …like Dunnigan on counterfeit Mexican coins.

Also sold some coins as well !

Good report. need to attend this show next time. Hard to not pay full retail for anything nice at the moment.

I find it kind of amazing that Kent Ponterio and his wife opened up their home to host a party, complete with authentic Mexican food and an open bar, to attendees of the show, or am I misinterpreting that.

They have been doing this every year and large buses are provided from the hotel and back to take everyone who wants to go !

Some pickups raw !

The pillar and cap & rays coins had nice toning with mirror like surfaces .
