Yes. I’m speculating that it might be counterfeit as well.
Now that others, with more guts, have broken that ice :-)
I was thinking that there is something about the relief of the coin that is off.
Initially, I chockit up to some photographic distortion- spherical, but maybe it’s not optical.

Heh, my very first thought was it might be counterfeit, but somehow I convinced myself it was in a holder with a white plastic insert from the photos. I guess the shadows should have ruled that out...

Looking back, it actually does look like it's in an NGC holder... But no, it was just laying on white cardboard...

Kinda looks AU from those photos. If not, I'd guess MS62.
XF-45 to AU?
Something odd about it. Looks like it’s been sandblasted- on a microscopic level.
I’m going out on a limb here as the first response.

Seen alot of to and fro in a bag with its neighbors. I don't see any wear. 60-61.
Mid AU.
Six Zero. Just barely made mint state. Unless that photo is enhanced then I would say 55+
I don't know how these looked fresh off the counterfeiter's dies so I won't guess the grade.

I’m with Tom. The coin looks like a counterfeit.

That's a rather funky-looking SG. AU-ish, but I don't think it'll straight-grade.
It's counterfeit... grainy, lightweight and plain edges. I thought it would make an interesting thread.

Definite fake... I'm glad you knew it!
Have to agree, doesn't look genuine. grainy/mushy.
Late to the game, however, I did think it was fake when I saw the picture... Poor definition of the design, edge looks weak.... Cheers, RickO

Poor fake
The least they could do is stamp it.
Cast counterfeits are way too obvious.

I work in a coin shop, and we have a drawer full of miscellaneous counterfeits. (For education purposes) most are donated to us.
This was out, and I quickly shot it for the forums.
I like to try and educate people on counterfeits when possible.
