It seems last week's email/CC charge was just an authorization not real charge

all the pending charges are gone.

    If the mint was a real business, I could see doing another round of pre-auths a couple of weeks ahead of shipping so there is time to contact customers and fix problems.

    In my experience, pending credit card charges normally expire if they are not 'posted/finalized' within several days.

    Is your plan to keep the credit card "unlocked" until the items are actually shipped?

    I keep 1 unlocked, 1 locked. So far so good.
    So, I will have to call/chat again, when they really charge.

    When it hits my mailbox, then I will know the status.... Other than that, I do not bother with status. Cheers, RickO
