2015 Bombay Hook Refuge Quarter shore line

Found this quarter with an extra bit of shoreline, thought I'd see what the groups thoughts are. I posted a stock phot for comparison.

The stock photo appears to be a digital creation used by the mint prior to the coins actually being minted. It may not reflect the actual final appearance of the coin when struck.
I posted another phot of a the quarter. I had another one on my desk but I put it in my sorted coin bucket and now I cant locate it.
Its odd the way it has the extra line in between the shore and the water.
if you are talking about the line behind the beak-head, that is a contact mark where the coin took a hit.
It's either a trick of the light or a minor doubled die. 2015 had a few minor errors on the Homestead quarter.

I am refereeing to the highlighted areas in these photos. If this area is what you are also referring to as where the coin took the hit, thanks for the clarification. And by took a hit, do you mean that the die struck the coin at an off angle?
by took a hit, I mean from some foreign object after striking.
Thanks.
i see the area now. it is too coincidental to be a die crack.
I would add "DDR??" to the subject line and hopefully someone with more knowledge will respond.
In hindsight and after a closer look I think the lighting on the coin from my microscope may have caused some distortion. The left side of the coins shoreline seems to be struck a little deeper than others but I think its in line with the way the coin is supposed to look. Thanks for the info and time.
It is possible that what you are showing is an effect of magnification and lighting... I will have to look at one myself... Cheers, RickO
