Fancy schmancy burnished version with a W mintmark. First type 2 burnished, and as of right now, still available! Still kind of pricey, gonna have to pass even though I really do like that new Eagle on the reverse.
The quick sell out on these pricey coins reaffirms to me that demand for precious metals is off the charts.
Everything the US Mint has put out containing gold and silver over the last year, has quickly sold out. The US Mint has just taken in another $23,842,000, in just more then a day!
The price of gold and silver would be much higher right now if they weren't being deliberately suppressed.
There's an awful lot of money out there looking for a place to go.

Anyone who bought these, or any other Mint collectible, as a source of bullion is too dumb to be allowed access to a checkbook or credit card.

Was thinking of picking this one up as a carry piece and my first gold coin to celebrate some recent financial achievements. Not sure I want to though with a 50%+ premium. May just grab a bullion coin instead. Thoughts? Was really wanting this one but now not sure.
Can't tell you how to spend your money but I believe there are much better options out there for a first piece of gold. Congratulations on those achievements!
If gold keeps trending higher, in a few years there will be a lot of people kicking themselves saying how they had a great opportunity to buy at $2600, but didn't. I know someone who bought a bitcoin $600 several years ago. He thought he overpaid too. LOL

They will still consider themselves quite smart. They could buy regular bullion eagles for $1800. There is no reason to EVER pay $800 over spot to acquire bullion. I don't care if gold is $5000 next week, it was still a bad buy.

Slow and painful countdown at this point.
I bought it but I kind of regret it, maybe I'll get it graded and keep it, I don't see a profit on this one. 72 left should be gone early AM.
15 to go.................
The purchasing power of the dollars in my wallet has decreased significantly over the last 8 months, I have to eat, I'm passing on this one.
Finally!!!

Ounce by ounce the stack grows .
yeah, my BU American Eagle came in a couple days ago from Apmex. Very happy with it as my first gold piece.
shipping method changed
These were available this morning at 7:30 BTW. Pricing still $2,620. They look to be very slow movers on eBay though.
He who knows he has enough is rich.
Anyone interested in 11 of these coins?
Howdy. Try posting on the buy sell trade forum. 😉

I'd buy them at $1850
If you just bought them it’s not too late to cancel the order
