Ugly peace dollar: Anything I can do to strip this corrosion?

Crack it out and use Ezest or MS70, or both? Or just chuck it into the melt bucket?

Or sell it as is...
On ebay, with a slightly blurry picture... some people only buying the slab anyway...
Looks like someone already tried.
It’s too good for that melt bucket! ;-)
Branch mint Peace in that grade are desirable.
EBay- as others suggested.
Some will likely appreciate that original skin.
I’m not sure how that darker stuff would come off with a dip.
Ant thoughts @Ricko ?

Lol, I'll do you a favor and buy it as is from you. I'll save you the trouble of trying to improve it. You're welcome.
You could just send it to me and I'll dispose of it for you!
Been trying to take good pictures of her for years. Still not there. But I'm getting close

With that little bit of colorful toning I'm sure the eBay crowd would go nuts over it!
Then you can buy one to your liking.

That is a HELL of a coin. Do not touch it. There's no corrosion, only spots of toning.
I'd try to cross that to PCGS and get a TrueView if I were you.
i like it

Put it on Ebay and at a 249$ starting bid and let the suckers bid it up. The overly reactive state it was slabbed after dipping may or may not be done but there are people so desperate for color on Peace dollars (esp in older holders) there is a market for that coin at a premium. Is it worth a premium? Is any coin really?

I’ve got way uglier coins I’m proud to own.
I bet @Ricko would be happy to melt it for you.
That's ugly?

Thanks to you guys who have sent me offers (it's not for sale).
And yes: I was kidding. For those who don't know, attractively toned peace dollars are incredibly rare. I think @airplanenut has one? And I've seen literally 3 or 4 others posted on this forum in the last decade.

Nice coin - please don't touch it.
I am sure it could be conserved without harm... Well, except for what may be beneath the gunk. Let professionals do it.... if you choose to do something. Cheers, RickO
Nice! And a tougher date, too!

You crazy? The eBay crowd would go totally bonkers over that Peace dollar!

Nice coin! Nice holder too!

Good, I thought you had lost your mind there for a while.

Apparently, the humor is lost on some.
Fun to read some of the responses. @Weiss knows exactly what he has.
I've seen several attractively toned Peace dollars and plenty more that look like they've had help. The color on this one is uncommon and puts it in possible unicorn territory. The splotchy toning isn't so appealing, but it's easy enough to ignore.
I'm trying to decide if it could be crossed to NGC or PCGS. I think it has a chance, but I wouldn't be so surprised to see it come back as questionable toning. What does the reverse look like?
I hear what you're saying. But I've owned this one since 2007, so I know the color is legit going back at least 14 or 15 years. And the slab is part of its charm. Losing that in exchange for a new slab isn't worth the risk--for now.
Here's the reverse. Same mottled splotchy over lustrous white with one thumb-print sized rainbow of the same pastels between 4:00 and 5:00:

I like it better in the old anacs slab than I would in a new pcgs slab.
I have seen similar looks in old green pci slabs.
Great looking Peace$!
It is a good looking coin. Leave it as is. Buy one already in a PCGS holder, because someone else would rather have the one you have posted.
Cool. The reverse seems consistent with the rest of it..... and if you're not planning on selling, I agree, keep it where it is.
I would send it in to PCGS for crossover and see what grade it gets and then onwards to CAC

@airplanenut has a few, but this is the one you’re talking about:
