Strike: 8 on a 1 to 10 scale... grade $300 last year, $500 this year.

AU with a somewhat better than average strike. A nice strong date.

The coin looks like an above above average strike and my best guess for the grade is AU58 (and possibly as high as MS62).

I like the coin. 1921 coins in AU58 condition have a slightly different look than many Peace dollars and this is one issue I've occasionally been able to "cherry pick" raw and make a little money after slabbing.

If there's very good luster on this coin, could go up to 62.

I think it has nice luster. Here's a couple different photos.

    Exceptional strike AU58

See the difference in pictures from one to the other? This indeed shows how difficult it is to grade from pictures.

They don't even look like the same coin. The second one has a definite "Bubble Cheek" while the first pic shows no hint of it.

People wonder sometimes why I have a problem with pics.

    Well here's one example.

@BuffaloIronTail I am terrible with photos. They are about as good as I could take. I assure you that it is the same coin. My first and only 21 Peace dollar.

That is a nice Peace dollar.... I would say AU 58..... Cheers, RickO

    Nice one.
The second set of pictures makes the obverse look better, but the reverse looks worse.
Grade, not sure. Could be a 58, could be a 63, could be details... probably a 58 though. I like it.

I'm in the AU58 crowd as well... and like others have already stated, nice strike.

    It’s a nice example.
As others have mentioned, it’s challenging to judge from photos, even very good photos.
It appears to be a nice 21 Peace though with a very good strike.
Could go MS 62 though my first impression was AU 58 or better.
It reminds me of my 1928 Peace, I poster here years ago, with excellent picture.
There was passionate debate and even a wager, with many insisting it would grade 58.
I sent it in and it came back as a 62.
I pulled it out of my Dansco to have it graded to settle the debate and it’s still an outlier to that set and leaving a hole in my book as I haven’t cracked it.
I think one forum member may still owe me a beer on that bet loss ;-)

Thanks to everyone for the expert opinions. This was an impulse buy. I wasn't looking for one, but when I saw it I had to buy it.

I can’t see the rub that would constitute AU. I also believe the coin has more luster than the pics let on.
My guess is a solid 62

Above average strike. I think it could go 62.

I compared it with several Peace dollars I have had graded... and believe MS62 is not out of the question.
