Submitted some proofs from the Junk Drawer.

About 4+ years ago I was working on a Toned Proof Set 1950-1964 so I would buy random proof sets that had toners etc. When I decided to sell everything, I still had plenty of stuff that I had not yet submitted for grading. I few months back, I pulled this stuff out of my junk drawer and did a submission with other submissions at Summer FUN. After 44 Business Days, I got the results. I had two 1953 proof sets that I paid about $150 each for in Capital Plastics holders. Anyway, here are the results. All the 1953s Graded Proof 66. The other two, not so much. I did have some hope for the 1957 Quarter though. Oh well.

My favorite of the bunch... Wow!
That’s some gorgeous “junk”!

Wonder if the junk drawer is entirely full of 90% silver.
Maybe there is a bullion drawer, copper drawer, and clad drawer also...
That blast white Franklin is a real beauty....Cheers, RickO
Love the dime and the Kennedy half.

Great coins...the 53 dime and 57 wtr are great!
I am so happy that I will never have to compete with you in an auction. I think you have way more money than me.

I have found that when it comes to toned coins PCGS will most always downgrade them a point or two. Problem is that we now have to collect two sets.......one with high untoned grades and another where the coin appearance is paramount. I just stuff my registry sets in the safe and keep my toned sets close at hand where I can enjoy them.
You have some keepers in your junk drawer my friend.

I sure wish the proof coins in my junk drawer looked like that.
