Just got these back. I am absolutely thrilled with the grades...
Had this one (with Nixon countermark) graded at the same time...
USAF (Ret) 1974 - 1994 - The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries. Remembering RickO, a brother in arms.

Never heard of that Nixon one.
Someone (Steve Hayden?) has/had a vintage supply of them and he's been selling them occasionally on Ebay. I finally managed to snag one a couple months ago.
They also exist with a KENNEDY counterstamp. I am pretty certain I've also seen another name - perhaps a third party candidate, but a quick search just now did not pull up any clues on who that was.
I also saw a nickel from that era on ebay a couple years ago that had just the KENNEDY counterstamp nicely placed over Monticello.
Nice grades.... Glad you are happy with them....First I have seen that Nixon counterstamp. Cheers, RickO
Very nice. Now I want one.
I’ve got a nice little hoard of these Collis strikes, including several counterstamps.
Congratulations on some nice grades on these rare Collis silver restrikes!

Never heard of any of these!
I have held the die in the ANA Museum. Still in good shape.
Here are a couple recent pick-ups...
A new variation from what has been posted above.. "Stevenson" stamped twice.
And here is a Nixon counterstamp that seems to be an early attempt. All of the counterstamps posted previously seem to be struck in some kind of press. The weak strike on this piece, combined with the concrete pattern on the reverse, suggest to me that it was struck with a hammer while the token was sitting on a cinder block or cement floor.
