2017 D possible DD error.

I recently looked at thread in this forum which featured a 2017 D Jefferson nickel which has the same errors on a nickel I found today going through a roll of nickels. The thread in question was written in 2018. My question is this, if these two separate coins have the same errors would this make this particular error a double die error or a mechanical die error? I am asking becasue the thread from 2018 was sort of confusing. Thanks in advance.

You are just seeing strike doubling and die fatigue, worth $.05.

Nice pictures but it looks like common machine doubling.
Thanks, I'm new to this so I'm learning as I go. These forums and the comments provided are extremely helpful.
Wexler has a good explanation of the characteristics of mechanical doubling and die deterioration doubling.

There are lots and lots and lots of MD and DDD out there. Learning and understanding the characteristics of each will save you a lot of frustration. it may take some time, but it will be well spent if you want to search for doubled dies.
Thanks for the link. Can you explain a little about this error? Thanks in advance.
No $10,000 coin here.
Sorry.

Thanks for the links above it helps to know precisely what to keep an eye out for. The differences between the types pf doubling is a little trickier than one would think.
