A nod to the approaching Halloween season! Post your pirate booty! After all, it's METAL PORN FRIDAY!
We are like children who look at print and see a serpent in the last letter but one, and a sword in the last.

Not much of a booty, a fact my wife comments on frequently...
@Weiss Those small chop marks are cool.

I made these treasure rounds for a guy who goes by the name Pirate Stacker.
They are hand poured copper in molds I designed and carved myself.
It's all about what the people want...

How's this.
If I look at it closely, it look to me to be over struck on another silver coin.
It's possible. Portugal overstruck coins regularly--typically Spanish pieces. That was primarily when they moved the capital of Portugal to Brazil to avoid Napoleon. But it probably happened earlier, too.

That's my best quess if I look at it hard enough I think I can see the headline/outline of a Spanish reale.
Has to be dated earlier then 1707 if that's the case.
I really like it, took 2 tries at auction.
Got outbid the first time by 3x my bid.
Second time it showed up I questioned the seller what happened and they said the bidder backed out.
I got it for half of what I was willing to pay the first time.
I think it books for 2x what I paid and I had some Free casino winnings, so WinWin.
I've got an interesting gold bit too.
Pretty sure that one was tested for purity in a pirate's mouth.
Well makes a plausable good story
I have one coin like those in the OP... but it is a counterfeit....Though real silver. Cheers, RickO
