I used to concentrate on Page1 of the coin forum threads.

Now, I find myself scrolling through past threads, mainly reading " "closed" threads, where true passion of collectors , and their "feelings" manifest themselves . Just an observation. It's rarely coin related.
Sold this 1921 Mercury dime ( out of wayte raymond album) for &17 , in spirited bidding on eBay, this weekend. That will teach me to pay less, when junk walks in. .
So if I hear someone say they got ripped off at a B&M, you can understand. A $20 offer was too much.

I'm not sure the problem is the price you paid. Common coin like that in a common grade is not going to auction well. BIN at $25 would have been successful.
@TwoSides2aCoin > you probably shoulda asked for advice here BEFORE you put it up for sale!
i'm not certain if you are attempting to convey that you long for more numismatic collector passion and conversation. IF that is it, i'd recommend using the bookmark function and adding one from time to time and when in need of one, you'll eventually have dozens. i can certainly can recall seeing some that i think would fit the bill, just gotta glean them out when you can.
@TwoSides2aCoin.... Collectors have a passion for collecting... and that character trait often lends itself to passion in other interests the individual may have. Focus and study will add to those passions.. and likely manifest strongly. Thus some 'closed' threads....
