Very nice silver... I like the 'loaf' form. I have not heard of '9' before.... Cheers, RickO

@Weiss ... You have the start to build a silver wall... or construct of some type anyway with those big 'blocks'. ;) Cheers, RickO

I was tipped off to a Labor Day sale at Landis Studios and was drawn to a pair of Gold Quarter Eagles…

I’ll admit, I’ve been pretty oblivious of Ron Landis, his Master Die carving skill, and the Gallery Mint Museum until this year, but better late than never!
During my research into GMM I stumbled on a seller with a Proof Half Eagle and sealed the deal there… ( which opened up a line of dialogue that I will share in another thread)

The quarter eagles are beautiful in hand with watery fields and frosty devices and the half is Equally nice being one of the first half dozen struck over twenty years ago.

Really excited to have these, they are extremely well done… apparently there was a Gold Eagle also produced so Hopefully I’ll have something to look forward to adding in the future…

They are replicas of the originals in every regard, so real gold.

Under the hobby protection act , they are stamped “COPY” on the reverse, which isn’t my favorite but I totally understand.

He does nice work, and being gold, truly attractive. Cheers, RickO
