Who will win NL MVP?

My choice is SF Giant shortstop Brandon Crawford. His numbers are great. He plays the most important defensive position and makes a spectacular play nearly every game. And he plays for the team with the best record in MLB. I'm shocked that the odds of Crawford winning the award are 250 to 1.

  • My honest pick would be Vladimir Guerrero Jr. He is in top 7 in almost every category in hitting. I'm a huge brave's fan. Just being totally honest

I would like to see Harper win it but I think it will go to Tatis Jr.

I'd pick Vlad for the AL MVP, for sure.

  • Last night -- just another "routine" play for Brandon Crawford.

  • Bryce Harper's team is only 4 games over .500 and they won't make the playoffs -- Harper's year has been outstanding, but NOT valuable.
Tatis Jr. might not even be the MVP of his own team -- see Manny Machado. And the Padres won't make the playoffs.

Brandon Crawford's performance has been valuable in every aspect of the game, while playing the most difficult position for a team which is having an historically great season.

Not disagreeing with any of this, but he won't win. In this day and age a player who is not in the top ten in WAR has no chance. Six pitchers in the top 10, and the only position players on contending teams are O'Neill and Goldschmidt. If I were to bet, I'd bet Soto, and I don't even think he's a terrible choice. Vote will be widely split.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that Vlad Guerrero Jr has no chance of winning the NL MVP this year. :)

When I saw your title I immediately thought 'Crawford'. BTW he just hit another home run as I am watching the G game..... Oops right now Belt belted another for the G's to go up 3-2.......

If you watched Harper play since the AllStar break, you'd see that he's a one man wrecking crew. There's not much help around him in the lineup, much the same as Soto, but he's willed this team almost single-handedly to this showdown with the Braves. Braves just have too much O. But Harper deserves to win. I thought Tatis was a shoo in, but injuries have hurt his performance down the stretch..

  • Everyone can say whatever..... But Ozzie Albies had a career year when Acuna went down! He's my MVP! 👍

I believe Harper being a non-factor in the just finished series vs the Braves may have put a dent in his chances.

    someone say albies?

eta: will toot my own horn here since i was chasing albies while acuna craze was going down… the bowman blue is the actually the twitter blue /15, the red auto heritage is jersey #d, red sapphire /10. i could go for days posting albies cards. when its all said and done, ive always thought he would have the better career vs acuna. and acuna folk take that as a slight when in actuality its just a tip to the hat in how good albies truly is. and as mentioned above, he plays w heart, always has a smile on his face and is simply a joy to watch. he’s all team, all heart.
