It’s a 21. Common. It is an example. Not one I would want but if you’re not buried in it price wise. Enjoy its your collection and you can always get a different one if you change your mind
No not buried in and don't want to sell it, I collect circulated Morgans and like having different examples. I have many and even a counterfeit. I enjoy looking and comparing .

Your collection, your choice..... I believe people should collect what and how they like...It is a hobby, and, like art, peoples perceptions and affinity vary. Have fun.... Cheers, RickO
I also like having in hand to compare to what is considered to be NT It makes it easier for me to learn and actually see different types of AT Morgans. These are common dates so not a lot of money involved and probably get my money back if I ever decide to get rid of it even disclosing it as AT.
I would disagree on the heat treated as I have seen many heat treated and they seem to be much more vibrant. This appears to be maybe chemical to me . Actually in hand it is not as offensive as heat treated.
Just my opinion of course as I am for sure no expert and just going by the many Morgans I have looked at.

It could be a low MS details coin, but I think the chemical "help" (or "assistance", or AT) is hiding the scratches on Liberty's cheek... a prime focal area. If you're not into it for much over melt you did ok, but definitely something to watch for in your next purchase...
Collecting: Dansco 7070; Middle Date Large Cents (VF-AU); Box of 20;
I may not have made it clear that I knew exactly what I was buying and I have said the financial issue was not a concern as I am fully aware of what circulated Morgans AT or not are worth and selling it is not what I purchased it for. I have many different types of Morgans and comparing supposedly NT and AT in hand helps understand the differences and learn the differences. A quick glace or photo sometimes does not tell the whole story. There is no doubt to me that this is AT but then again there are many toned coins in holders that are AT and I like learning ways to compare them.

That's AT
ignoring the AT... it's dark in the photos.
is it brighter in hand?

Yes it is brighter in hand but not what I would call real bright.
