Self guided numismatic tour on the cheap

So I picked up 3 thick auction catalogues for $4 at the flea market and they are a joy to study and learn from. The 2009 Bowers and Merena ANA NMS is spiral bound. The others are a 2007 Heritage FUN auction and 2008 Heritage Phoenix NMS. All pics are excellent and each caption contains many important facts plus the usual sales flourish. Everything from pine tree shillings to big gold. What fun! IMHO. Peace Roy

I'm not gonna get crazy into catalogues but because I dig all sorts of early colonial coinage, these catalogue examples are helpful in identification. Peace Roy

I have occasionally seen auction catalogs at used book stores... I have not purchased any - already have an overflowing library (many different publications to cover my many interests)... Others here do collect them, and they can provide excellent reference material. Cheers, RickO
