Please let me know your thoughts and opinions, including grade about this 1795 Half Dollar. One of the first early American coins I bought back in 1986.
Many thanks in advance for your comments.

Ver nice, probable VF, the question is whether they consider the obv scratch a scratch or an adjustment mark.
Likely a scratch, but seems to be market acceptable

Seems to be a scratch... However, those things can happen when a coin is 226 years old.... I like it. Cheers, RickO
Nice half dollar. The light scratch isn't distracting.

I wouldn't worry about the scratch either. Nice coin 🙂
Nice coin , those scratches are insignificant on that as far as being gradeable, VF25 imo.
OG look to it 👍
I like it. The scratches are old enough they seem to have filled in with patina and they're not terribly distracting. I guess there's some chance they're adjustment marks (they're all parallel), but I think they're too fine to likely be that.
It's Overton 117, rarity 4. There's a die line under the "Y" in LIBERTY. Nice details in the face and wings, my guess is VF30.

I like the obverse, but the reverse from America and United on up seems to have been smoothened.
very attractive, I guess vf30 too; am I seeing a little luster hugging the devices on the obv?
Wow, you had good taste back then

Well, I have a half of one…..
A: The year they spend more on their library than their coin collection.
A numismatist is judged more on the content of their library than the content of their cabinet.
Nice one. I really like the very old ones.
Thank you, everyone, for your opinions and comments.
