1988 One Cent with Residual Material

Hi, I have this 1988 One Cent with small part of residual material on it. Is it worth anything above face value:)

I think what you have is a "retained lamination", small and interesting. Probably no added value as it's a circulated cent. I'd keep just because.

Can't have lamination on copper coated zinc Lincolns - just crud - give it an acetone soak and that crap will be gone - just worth a cent!!

Soak in acetone and then show us a picture .... and perhaps the 'piece' will be in the solution as well... Cheers, RickO

As I said in your other post, you are wasting your time and eyesight looking for "stuff" like this. In this case it is obvious crud that has stuck to the cent. It is not an "error" or "variety". It is worth one cent.

Looks like a piece of caramel.
