Was left some old cards from the late 80s/early 90s from grandfather passing

I don't have them all yet, and it is a random assortment of cards. Is there a good site to check prices on these? There are a lot of them, and I don't really want to go through each of them individually on eBay, it would legit take weeks. There has got to be over 2000 cards here, assorted NFL, MLB, NHL, pro set and upper deck. I took a look at PSA a bit to see what they are saying, but most look like they are worth under $50 so I wouldn't think they'd be worth it to grade at this point, is that correct?
Thanks

Post photos of any HOF RC's but odds are little value from those years.
HOF SIGNED FOOTBALL RCS
I suspected so, they all look like they are in very good condition. Not sure of the way that they grade or what matters, but they look pretty good to me. I'll post some photos later this afternoon to show what I have from him
Condolences on the passing of your grandfather as well, Pezzicle. We will help as best we can on the card front.
HOF SIGNED FOOTBALL RCS
not necessarily true. but first off, sorry to hear about your grandfather. it is true that condition is everything. its also true that it only takes 1 card to change a life. best thing to do here is take it slow.
collectors are usually meticulous, so anything that seems like its in a special holder usually is a good indicator of value. so i would start there. divide everything up that fits this mold. then post pics. remember, this is no race. theres no timetable. do a little bit of sorting by sport and break it down further from there. then sort by hof and stars. it will be much more manageable and youll be much more likely to appreciate it w/o feeling overwhelmed. do a stack each night, each weekend, once a month. whatever pace doesnt burn you out is the right one.
id also ask around about who grandpas fav player, team or cards he mighta had a special bond with. at the very least, keep a few of those for family heirlooms. you might not appreciate today, but once they are sold theyll be impossible to replace.
Pick out some of the cards that you recognize the names of. Look those cards up on ebay and if any of those seem to be of value, post pictures here. If the cards are in very good condition, i.e. they have worn or dinged corners, very very few of them from that era would be worth grading. And of those few cards, they are household names (Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, Jerry Rice, Derek Jeter, etc...).

thanks for the condolences, appreciated. it was expected, 88 years old and was battling cancer for awhile.
I have 2 of the boxes right now, but will be getting the other in a month or so at our thanksgiving (mid Oct).
I'm in the process of pictures right now, but I currently have cards from:
I'll post some pics in a bit. I know that there are a couple other boxes coming my way, these were just the first ones I got from my mom when I was down this past weekend.
Here are pics of some of the random ones I found that I know the names. There are more than this, but I didn't want to take a billion pictures. Every card that I have, probably close to 1000 here (with more on the way) are in a similar condition to what I've posted here
not too much there…yet.
thanks
from my own preliminary reading i should just hold onto them at this point, keep them safe, and reassess in a decade or so
how does the condition look?
this reminds me > @pezzicle said:
the cards were over produced, probably 2 cents per card .... but maybe there is a gem in there somewhere

anything 50s - early 80s?
not in this set, not sure what else is to come
Sorry, not even in decades will this be worth holding.. Low demand and high supply
It's crazy to think that we now live in an era when a grandfather's collection is just as likely to be from the 1980s and 1990s than it is to be from the 1950s.
Time flies.
The Emmitt and Chipper cards are a few bucks each.
You also have to remember that most cards in this era come out of the pack around PSA 8. A PSA 10 card is an exceptional card. The Chipper card seems to sell for $2 or $3 on ebay, but with postage, fees, shipping, listing, etc... it's really not worth your time.

Based on the photos provided: Take a look for a Belichick among your 1991 Pro Set football. An 8 is not going to be worth grading fees, but a 10 is worth about a grand.
Did I see a Whitney Houston rookie card in there?

what do you mean? all these cards are pristine and were in the same box. if one is waterlogged, they all are
It was a classless reference to Houston drowning. It really has nothing to do with your card(s).
I believe Whitney Houston's RC is the 1987 Panini Smash Hits
Edit: Nope, I'm wrong. I guess it is the 1986 Rock'N Bubble
