1955 Proof Washington "Re-engraved" tailfeathers

Variety specialist take a look and tell me what you see. Here are closeup images of two 1955 Proof Washington Quarters... one with what appears to be re-engraved tailfeather and the other normal.

    Many of the 50's & 60's proof quarters show re-engraved tail & wing feathers. ;)

    All type B reverses show crudely re-engraved ('enhanced') wings.

    Question for the OP: Are those lines raised?

    die polish shown - reengraved are single, separated and larger raised lines

    I do believe they are die polish lines.

    Looks like die polish lines.... pictures are dark but they look raised. Cheers, RickO
