Ok what are your exact guesses on what time these will sell out? My guess is 20 minutes. But I was really wrong on the uncirculated silver eagle.

    The U.S. Mint's server problems are as dysfunctional as always. It never gets better.

    Got to Pay for Order 6 times and everyone finished with one of several error messages.

    Expect yet another press release with an apology from the Mint Director tomorrow.

    To be this bad so consistently on new product offerings, it has to be purposeful.

    I'm going to say 20 hours. Because the Mint's website is going to keep crashing for that long... :D

    I got one!! Any idea if PCGS is doing any special label for these? NGC has a whole page dedicated to the coins and the lables they are doing. Didnt see anything at PCGS

    Got one, also took me over an hour. Had every type of problem, multiple Gateway errors, other error messages, kept flipping me from, Billing &Payment back to Step 2. Finally got it to take Payment info, I hit enter, the page spun for about 3 minutes then it flipped my back to Step 2. I started over got to Payment again, also spun for a long time, then got an error message. Then 5 minutes later said my order was processed. Guess my first went through but did not get to the Confirmation page. What a joke. They need to outsource sales to 3rd party. Amazon handles 10X the volume every day and its a breeze.

    I think the US Mint could handle 10x the volume also if it was spread out over 24 hours.

    I meant Amazon handles 10X the volume every hour, every day, that the US Mint experienced today beginning at noon. Yes Amazon probably has several server farms the size of small cities to support their ~ $400 billion in sales.

    I got one in cart around 9:15, tried for an hour to check out and kept kicking me out before it was finished with check out. Then I got four notifications of CC authorizations on CC and at 10:15 got a order acknowledgement from mint. Not sure if I got one or not. Al

    Tried to order just for kicks at 1:00 CT and it went through with no problems. I think a lot of people must have given up altogether within the first 30 minutes.

    I think the mint's web server crashed or went offline several times after 12PM EDT.
    I gave up and went to lunch, came back and was able to get one right before 1:30PM EDT.
