Hi,
I just found an old binder containing some of my pokemon cards "collection"
Just wondering if any of these cards are potentially worth something that I can send in for grading .
Would appreciate if anyone can help me out here .
Thanks a lot in advance

Some are worth lots , but grading is essential for maximizing return. That said, the endeavor is not cheap. Incidentally , you're at the right business but in the wrong department.

So sorry ! just realised I posted in the wrong group.. will try to delete this now ..
I have to admit that I don't understand the Pokemon card market. When I was dealer at the Nashua coin show 20+ years ago, there was dealer and his young son who set up next to me. The son was maybe 10 to 12 years old, and he was really into Pokemon cards. He'd come to the show and gross more sales than his father.
I looked at this and thought that it had be a fad, like Beanie Babies. They were still issuing these cards; the amount printed seemed to be uncontrolled; and the cards had pictures on them of cartoon characters that met nothing to me. Yet, I saw a "Pawn Stars" episode last night where Rick paid $3,500 for an unopened box of cards on the advice of Chumlee who says that it retails for $5,000. Chumlee has also said that these things have sold for 6 figures.
If you can't understand a market, and the items don't turn you on as collectibles, the best thing to do is stay out of it. I don't understand it, and I will leave it at that.
I sold 6 sealed boxes (396 cards each) of 1999 base set cards last year. My profit margin was 16,563%.
