The best part about many problem coins is they show you what true originality looks like. This is prevalent on chop marks too. I guess dealer knew there was no point trying to improve them but now they are amazing survivors that make good educational tools.

Funny, but a first rate pictoral love token or fancy ingraved Draped Bust $ would probably be "a bit" more pricey than your average circulated problem free example..

I read somewhere that in the old days people would hole a silver dollar and put a ribbon loop on it and put the ribbon around a baby's neck so the baby could wear it and chew on it while teething. Silver was known as having anti-bacterial properties so it was considered safe.
