I came across this coin on eBay. Seller calls it "Rainbow Toned"

I am not sure I would use that term to describe this coin,,,,,,, but for $122.14 it can be yours.

Hummmmmmm,,,,,,,,, in checking seller's other items he has a couple dozen similar "RAINBOW TONED" coins,,,,
I wonder how one person is lucky enough to locate so many wonderfully "RAINBOW TONED" coins. ;)

The brand holder is obvious,,,,,, but that does not matter,,,,,, I can assure you that these coins were not "RAINBOW TONED" at the time they were graded.

Looking at the other offerings from this seller.
I can almost guarantee you those coins didn't arrive to PCGS looking like that.

I was at a show a few years back and came across a table that had a case full of a darker toned green moderns,,,,,,, mostly IKE's & Kennedys and Washington quarters. There were about 60 - 70 slabbed coins in his case. They all had the exact same look to them. Many different series and years. They were kinda of attractive and I might have bought an Ike from him had it been the only coin that looked like it did. I asked the guy how he happened to find all these coins with the exact same look and he just gave me the "Evil Eye" and I left with my money still in my pocket. Not hard to figure out how they got that way.... BTW, I had to stop and fill up my tank with GAS on the way home. I think the dealer had already gotten his GAS prior to the show. ;)

I like color on my coins but those are grotesque.

I would not accept those coins even if offered for free.... Just not appealing.... I could make my own if that is what I liked.... Just as someone made these, although I would do a better job. Cheers, RickO
