I just completed the three-coin series in the only U. S. series that I know of that has only three coins.
What series would that be? Hint: the three coins are three different dates.
Pictures will be posted after someone posts a correct answer.

Flying eagles?
I considered the Flying Eagles to have 4 coins with the 1858 Large Letters and Small Letters. Good guess though not the series I was thinking of.

Modern gold centennials 2016, is a great little 3-coin set, but not 3 different dates, but it has 3 different designs

Bicentennial Dollar, Half, and Quarter?
I’m going to guess flying eagle cents or SBA dollars
Ambitious! I'll guess Humbert slugs: just 1851, 1852, and 1852/1 (the latter only in $10/20s)
Ooh esoteric! But does an overdate count?
There are no overdates in this series. The first coin I bought in 2003, the second one a year or two ago, the third one out of the ANA auction.

Type 2 gold dollars? Edit counting dates, not mint marks.
I just love the no star variety, one of my all time favorite coins.
3 coins! Beats the Hell out of collecting the ASE series!!!

And congratulations on a great set!
I would love just one of those, the 1836 with no stars on the obverse. It would take the majority of my collection to get one. And you have three, Rich? I'm jealous!
Oh yeah-congratulations!!
Thanks for participating in my quiz! Some real good answers there!

$5 Mormon gold was three years: 1849, 1850 and 1860.
That would be quite the accomplishment.

I would’ve guessed a type set of Barbers.

I was gonna guess $4 stellas containing at least one of (a) coiled hair, or (b) a non-prime number date.

There is also a 3 coin South African Nelson Mandela series but PCGS does not have the correct photo for one of the coins that remains pretty elusive.
