ebay feature rather annoying and quite ineffective, imo (updated)

what say you?

does this inhibit anyone else when looking at the mm area?

If you hover it enlarges and if you click it goes away. Just tried it on 2 coins on ebay.

I just hate the hang time while waiting for it to be enlargeable!

If you click the image immediately, it will enlarge without waiting.

Ebay must think their customers are too stupid to figure it out on their own.

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

ya, that is kinda my point. i can plow through a lot of listings w/o enlarging, so not being able to see one of the most counterfeited areas on a coin and/or need to verify w/o having to click and wait, is something i highly value.

lets not forget their own language states we as members "cannot" impair images, so in all their genius, they simply completely block one of the most important areas. seems like common sense would say, lets not block the images in any way but perhaps i'm just piling on.

    ugh, that hang time. .075

ok, time to go watch "run hide fight." looks like from the trailer is gonna be quite incendiary.

    rant over. :s

I looked at several Buffalo nickel listings and the one you posted is the only one of them where the mm was obscured. It's not like they have any control over how sellers crop their images.

    Agree.

I just hovered over an image and it immediately enlarged.

I don't know what to call this. It isn't even a 1st world problem.

Not every image in the internet has a hover function. So if they don't provide a cue there would be 5 threads on here either complaining about it or claiming to have discovered the new feature.

Yes, but if the seller is uploading high quality pictures you get better magnification without clicking because when you do it reduces the size of the image to fit the screen.

Ok then don't click. Move your cursor to the image and it immediately zooms.

I think you missed my point. Sometimes it takes awhile before the imagine will zoom, sometimes not at all unless I refresh the page!

Ok- I understand. I've never had that happen, at least in the dozen times I've tried it the past two days.

Likely crappy AT+T internet! They have us under monopolistic circumstances. Comcast is around but they want close to 20K to hook us up. :s

That would bother me if it does not disappear when zoomed.....If it does, not an issue. Cheers, RickO
