2021-W $25 Gold Eagle Proof Type 2 grading….

I was a bit nervous that the coin might not hit a PR70DCAM, but the coin gods were smiling! Very pleased. I have the other 3 coins on their way to PCGS….hoping that all of them make the grade.

I also sent in a 2017-W $25 for grading and it also was graded PR70DCAM.

I see the mint has solved the problem of the lower left stars not striking up by making all the stars dull instead of pointed.

Those are pretty good coins.

Did you get the 4 denominations?

The 2017 (Type 1) obverse has so much more detail and this one has a great strike. I am not impressed by the obverse revision on the 2021 (Type 2) coins at all.

They should have just changed the reverse. It would have been a lot simpler and looked better anyway.

I do appreciate the older foliage details but the spaghetti hair is gone and the capitol looks more like the real thing
