1893 Columbian - a Color Bomb - First of 3 New Pieces! (Grade Revealed)

This is the 1st of 3 new pieces recently acquired and represents a binge for me. As such, I feel a little guilty (and depleted). 3 new pieces is what I'd expect traditionally as a yearly max and these NP takes my US collection to a whopping 24. I did not plan to buy another Columbian since I already own one yet when I saw this 1893, I thought it might be a good companion to my 1892.
As some of you might know from my posts, I do like colorful tarnish (damnit @ricko - you've infected my vocabulary ) on my coins and am willing to pay a premium to acquire them. Eye appeal speaks to me and I do enjoy the autumnal colors shown.
Would you like to guess the grade? This one is from HLRC's latest early bird and if you've seen this one, please don't GTG.

Oh, it's also in a NGC soap bar holder to help you with GTG.

Color almost creates a bit of a cameo effect. Great pick up. I'll guess NGC MS65.
Pretty coin, Sir! I'll throw out 65 as a possible grade.

Hmm...not knowledgeable about NGC slab generations. Gold foil on outside of slab, light green border around label.

I really like the last one pictured above.
Sounds like an NGC 3.0.

Looks like an MS64.... with tarnish
... Good coin @Catbert Cheers, RickO
Nice matching set!
Thanks for all the comments and the great guesses. I'm thinking it would regrade as a 65 today (that's a gold CAC sticker in the pic)

Yes, I suspected that it would be severely under-graded.
Looks gem to me--It's a beauty.

The Columbians can be found with color. Terrific coin and grading them should be easier than it is. I will go on record as writing that the Columbian commem has a standard that is somewhat unrealistic or that it has been heavily influenced by the surviving population.
Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.
To give the benefit of doubt, some of the toning could have occurred while in the holder. I am at a 65 on this coin. Be careful. Columbians have a tendency to tone dark very quickly.
Nice color on the coin all, nice scores
