Just MD - proofs are struck twice so doubling the chance for machine doubling. Plus high mag brings out alot of slight MD you otherwise would never see.

Interesting. This is literally PCGS's true image of a Doubled Die. Confusing to say the least! 1962 DDO PCGS coin fact image third one down. I'm trying to spot doubled dies but with references like this it makes it hard cause I wouldn't have thought this to be a ddo I'd figure it was machine doubling.

Maybe the coin also has some MD along with doubling? I really don't see normal doubling but that 6 sure looks smaller in those 2 areas of the bottom loop and the upper tail. And the "I" and "B" may show slight doubling to the right but then the "B" also shows MD to the left? If PCGS says it's a DDO I guess I'd run with it.......BUT
If I see doubling on a scale of 1-10, at the most I'd go...............( )

It looks like an artifact of the image. No doubling of any kind.

here is the FS-101 from variety visty

that "2" is the best tell in your photos of photos.
otherwise I don't see the spread mentioned in the rest of VV's PUPs. Part of the problem is looking at photos of photos.

I will have to go look at the coinfacts images.... I would not have called that a DDO...Cheers, RickO
Does a DDO that weak have any following? I would have never found it.
