We were just west of the area about 6 clicks we took the pups to the Vet in Crofton md.
It really came down waiting for the dogs....we did receive a alert to take shelter. The outback became shelter.

Ida dealing misery all the way to the Northeast. We had minor flooding here in SE Tennessee but didn't hear of any tornadoes.
TG no one hurt or killed ...yet there are still tornado warning on the eastern shore.

Speaking of Northeast, any resolution to the other thread?

Glad to hear you weren’t hit by it. My wife’s parents were hiding in their laundry room tonight in NJ when some tornados were spotted. But it didn’t hit them luckily

What a mess! And we are so lucky no one hurt or killed! That in itself is unbelievable!

The morning traffic report is like 10 minutes long...flooded roads, tree over road, road and or bridge washed out, power outages, roads closed do to storm damaged. I know Delaware and New Jersey had to have tornados also.

I was concerned about my sump pump ive replaced years ago. Even up the hp to make sure..as we did have water back up before. Im going to invest in a vacuum sump pump no electricity needed ,works off city water line . No worrying about power loss.
Plus its get the gen out and get her running weekend. I hope just a fuel line flush new filters.

We got a lot of rain in Baltimore and some downed trees, but nothing major. The float on my sump pump got stuck and I had to jiggle it free, but no real problems here...

That reverse picture sure brought back some fond memories of my job at the State House as an architect in the late 90's.
I recalled seeing a hanging photograph of John F Kennedy and his autograph at the break room (?) . This struck me peculiarly odd since any collector could have just retrieve it.
Also had Governor Glendening walked by me when I was processing my data in the hallway. This kind off threw me off as well as there wasnt any security detail with him.
But the best part was having the privelage to explore the dome, which was off limit to the public back then.
Times were definitely much more lax and simpler back then, before 2001.
Having been at the site of a couple of tornados, after the fact, the thing that struck me very hard, was the incredible devastation done by the tornado. Sure, I had often seen pictures on the TV news of other events. But the sheer magnitude and standing in the area (post tornado) was so much more than one could see or feel from the news.
Cheers, RickO
