"Double-struck" 1909 $5 gold??

Hi All,
Any ideas?
Probably a counterfeit.
Note: Neither my nor the ANS's coin.

    We need much better pics but it appears to be a counterfeit.

    Agreed. Those are the best pics I could get. The coin is in Italy, which is also a little alarming.

    A lot of counterfeit US gold coins were produced in Italy back in the 1960's which is not surprising since they manufacture a lot of gold jewelry there.

    100% sure that's a fake. Pretty bad one at that.
