Potential service level pricing model
Not sure if this has been brought up before, but just brain storming here. What about a service level pricing model based on a current realized prices for declared value to bring back some lower priced service levels sooner than later?
They already have a realized auction price search function, why not tie that into the submission level selection?
Input the predicted grade on the submission form and the search runs and spits out an averaged realized price over say the last few months. Obviously won't work for cards with no recent comps, so that's a kink for sure, probably would require an audit during the R&I stage...and the search would have to be again applied at the time of assembly/shipping for market valuation at that time.
Upcharges would have to be enforced more strictly to catch people trying to sneak mint cards in at less than mint levels, this is already being done to some extent.
But this would allow for set builders and collectors of lower value cards to get back to submitting while at the same time reduce the mania submissions of some of the more bloated popular cards.
I know this is a far from perfect model, but does it warrant some more thought?

sounds like declared value, but the submission form will declare it for you.
I'll run your ideas upstairs and let you know what they think.

As an observer, the names may be new but the menu presents the same, save the zero that has been added at the lowest service level and that what was once called ‘Regular’ has now been changed to ‘Express.’
Does what the service level is called really matter? If not, I’d like to nominate Plaid as the name to replace PREMIUM 10, for the $10,000 level…

It’s just too expensive at this point.
Had some good experiences with them 7 years ago. Also some bad ones.
Until things normalize, going with the others.
