GTG Double Struck Double Dated 1976 D Major Error Nickel

ANACS gave this coin their standard "MS60" Grade as they do on soooo many error coins of that time period.
I do not agree with that grade, No way this coin should Grade MS60.
My question is to leave it alone as error collectors know about these slabs, or should I try for an upgrade at one of the two top TPG's.

Why would the grade on that coin matter? Error collectors would pay for the second strike, not the first. Calling the coin a 61 or 62 would not change its value.

CJ: 'No one!' [Ain't no angels in the coin biz]
But a 64 just might
But I do agree with you and will most likely leave it as is.
I would leave it as is.... Error collectors.. at least the ones I have known, care about the error, not the grade. Yeah, some out there may look at error grades, but in my experience, they seek the error. Cheers, RickO
If the error had a chance at a 67 or 68, I would send it in for an upgrade, but as others have said I don't feel the grade would matter between a 60 and a 64. JMO

leave it as is , doubt many error collectors are going to care about the grade

I buy the error not the grade.
I agree for the most part.
I think you would agree that high grade error coins do look nice.
I can buy AU58's, but I do not buy AU55 and lower as I do not like the look of those lesser grades.
Lots of people like the old Anacs "soap bar" holders so you are probably better off leaving it as is. I have one of the so called MS 60 grade errors as well.
