Welcome to Sports Talk @Dorkis . I went through my memory, thinking about the different non Boston players I have enjoyed over the years. This is a fun question.
.................
NBA Marcus Camby. He was of course a star at UMass in college. That's when I became a fan. And that was a hometown team, but I will put him as my NBA choice. Some might think he never lived up to being the second pick, but really he had an amazing career. Led the league in blocks four times and was DPOY once. His blocks were legendary.
My second favorite non-home NBA player is my choice for college basketball. Chris Mullin. Very underrated player, in my opinion.
College football Tebow. Greatest college QB ever.
NHL Jeremy Roenick. One of the greatest American born NHL players ever. I followed his career ever since he was in HS when my cousin (who I am very close with) was his teammate at Thayer Academy.
MLB This is a tough one, but I will probably go with Greg Maddux.
NFL I was pretty young when this guy retired, but I would probably say John Riggins. As a young NFL fan, almost seven years old, I liked the Patriots as I lived in Massachusetts. But I became a huge John RIggins fan when the Redskins beat the Dolphins in the SuperBowl. I remember I was at a SB watch party with my family. Everyone was crowded around the TV, and I was playing with some friends or other little kids. The Dolphins were expected to win, and it seemed like everyone in the room was rooting for the Dolphins. Looking back on it, these men probably had some action on the game. But for me, with no rooting interest, I remember being excited when the Redskins ended up winning. And somehow I became a Riggins fan that night. But his career did not last that long after that. So If I had to choose a player I at least watched a decent amount of, I would say Jared Allen. Loved his style of play and tenacity.
Not completely fair.
I have to cheat a little. Lol
On my team, Chuck Muncie. When he cleared the box, both sidelines stood with mouths gasping and jaws dropped in silence. Watch the 1975 SC-Cal game on YouTube.
MLB, Don Drysdale. But nothing compared to Mays and Bonds.
NBA, Elgin Baylor.
NFL, college, OJ.
MLB Pete Rose
NFL Russell Wilson
NBA Larry Bird
MLB - George Brett and Barry Bonds
NHL - Sergei Federov
MLB - Will Clark
NBA - Dominique Wilkins
NFL - Lawrence Taylor
MLB- Griffey Jr.
NFL- Prime Time Deion
NBA- Iverson
NHL-Ovechkin
And since NCAA has been mentioned:
College Football-Tommy Frazier
College Basketball-Patrick Ewing
......
As I mentioned, I loved watching Chris Mullin at ST. Johns in college. And it was fantastic watching them play Georgetown.

MLB Rod Carew too! Nettles is neck and neck though!
NHL Clueless (I grew up in Oklahoma in an era when the only pro team was OU) I do own about a 100 pretty nice raw copies of every '77 Topps AS card with my favorite being Dionne.
NBA Bird
NFL Jim Everett...I know, I know.
Earl was spectacular.
Earl Campbell was a favorite as well, I still remember watching his Jersey get ripped off by guys trying to tackle him
Martina was my tennis GOAT.
Never watched the game before her or after.
Michael Jordan.
NASCAR - Chase Elliot
WWE - Randy Orton
Hey, what happened to the OP ??
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"

I'm probably sounding silly here but what is an alt? lol
Can have a couple of applications. In this case someone who was banned and then comes back under a different name. Normally defected by the same IP address
Some can tell by the syntax, cadence or political /social views of a former poster or even the different forums they visit.
