May those in the storm's path be safe. I have a lot of family and friends in the "cone of uncertainty" who are in various states of preparation and anxiety. I've spent a lot of time in coastal Long Island and New England, and hope those beautiful places and the people living there are spared from major damage and destruction.
With the hearty folks of Long Island in mind, here is my PCGS MS65 CAC commemorative:

I didn’t know the suckers were everywhere except Bridgeport
Preparation complete, though up here, it will likely just be rain.... and only 2-3 inches. Probably start this afternoon, which means I will be driving home in the rain....only 10 miles, good road. Now, 100 miles south, Long Island and the city, it will be a lot different. I have friends there - and one former shipmate on Long Island.... But I know he will be well prepared. Cheers, RickO

Believe it or not Baltimore is getting the back side of the bans now ...the eastern shore has been getting hit hard this morning. Its a shame that the NYC got rained out last night half way through.

Here in Dutchess County NY so far just some light rain and no wind out of abnormality. Supposedly the worst is still coming but so far so good. It seems to have gone more towards Connecticut and Rhode Island than the possible head on hit to Long Island and NYC that would have sent it straight up the Hudson River to me.
Heck, the hurricanes bands do hit the outer fringes of York County, ME
