MS67+FB CAC What is GEM anyway? I thought it was just the 65 Grade but I see higher in here sooo

So I just looked to see what I could find on the word GEM in a few books that I have around.
According to the 18th Edition of the Photograde book...
Prior to 1987, Gem Uncirculated in the ANA grading scale referred to a coin in MS-67 condition, and Gem Proof referred to a Proof-67 example, but in 1987 the use of the Gem term was discontinued. Interesting.
