I find the 75 mini and 76 boxes to be the silliest prices of that group. And if the 71 rack has no stars showing it’s pretty silly also.

75 mini boxes have been selling for the $10k range, but the 76 box price was 😳 The 75 rack with Brett on it was not a record as the last auction had one go for just south of $20k. This one also had a print defect on the Brett which I am sure impacted the price.

Will sell it for $1m. A bargain and far more personal than cardboard! Lol

I don’t understand how the most common pre-1978 wax box merits anywhere near that price. But then I haven’t understood unopened pricing for quite some time. 🤷‍♂️

Agree re 75 mini. And with only 360 cards, prob more than 1/2 OC - just can’t be opened.

The 1971 rack had a yaztremski type card on top...not regular card but a leaders type card and it had the regular header card.

    (24) PSA 9 1976 Football Cello packs went for almost $1500 per pack... for some reason?

Wait, the server didn’t crash, extending the auction into days from original closing while jamming down our throats on social media how awesome they are?

Joking aside, congrats to REA - the best in the business.

Wow surprised at the Banks price! Mine will stay in my collection until I perish or something major and unforeseen happens. Could come down in the future or continue to climb. Either way excited to have my Banks run essentially complete (still need to find the right ‘69 NL Home Run Leaders). Really glad you gave me the opportunity to purchase it from you.

I am in the minority and root for price corrections. I continue to spend what I can on cards and welcome anytime something I thought was out of my price range comes back in! The Banks is far and away the most I have ever spent on a card and glad I bought it before it became a pipe dream.

    Brad...

I knew it would exceed Mile High's copy at $23,000+ since the centering on REAs was better and similar to yours. I am glad it worked out for both of us. I used some of the cash to purchase a Clemente RC PSA-6.5.

Tim, are you saying that was your Dihigo that sold? Or are you saying you own a different PSA 2 of the same card?

    Dan,

    Sadly, that was mine.

Happily, I still have one more…

    Thanks, Dan.

Never easy to give something up but the PSA 1 I still have is both nicer looking and means more; to me.

Congrats on the sale. Hope you can put it to something in your collection If not, then it is nice to be able to use your hobby for something more important.

Everything I was watching went sailing out of my range.

And with the T3 Turkey Red Cobb more than tripling in price, it makes me question whether completing that set will ever happen.
