Beautiful cards! Yes, I've heard his name before but did not know all of that, very interesting article. I like Buck Leonard's quote "take your Ruths, Cobbs, and DiMaggios, just give me Dihigo."
He was supposed to have been sensational; with nickname like El Inmortal and El Maestro it is easy to get a sense for how revered he was for his baseball playing abilities.

Added my Ohtani pack pulled RC above; I really like the pose.

Its also pretty cool that Babe made into the same Cuban set as Dihigo and I sometimes wonder which card was the more desired by the kids of Cuba; I bet it was close, with a slight edge to The Maestro…

Beautiful cards, I love the Cuban cards. It's too bad that the USA and Cuba din't have better relations because a lot of great cards were made in Cuba that I can't get my hands on because of our strained relationship with Cuba. I know they had to have made some more cards of Dihigo in Cuba, I came across something a while back about a guy that used to travel to Cuba to find rare cards of baseball players, cards you couldn't find in the USA. I wish we could do business with people in Cuba, it makes me sick to think about it.
Here's one I'm talking about, a Cuban cigar company called Romeo y julieta made a set of boxing cards in the 1920s that is just ridiculous hard to find, a few managed to escape Cuba, like this Jack Dempsey.
And this beautiful Benny Leonard, which I'll never be able to touch!
There’s a lot of great boxers in the Propagandas set…

Yes, I love that set, I noticed you have a thread about the cards you are missing from that set, I'll keep a look out and if I run across any, I'll let you know.
@doubledragon
You still have the Propagandas Joe Louis, right? Great card…

I'm not sure who it is on ESPN radio, but he says that it is a waste of time to compare Ohtani to Ruth, but that the better comparison should be to Bullet Rogan. I'm even more suspicious of Negro League statistics than I am of Negro League anecdotes, but if Rogan was half as good as his 161 ERA+ and 152 OPS+ suggest, he was very good indeed.

Any Hall of Famer at least deserves a mention…😉

The best card in that set.
