Just Passing Through

Thought I would pass through. I've been an old school coin collector, (just a hobby) since I was a kid. Guess I would be considered a classic American coin collector, filling holes in Whitman and Dansco albums.

Been reading and viewing your posts, threads and pictures in amazement! The vast majority of knowledge and coins here are over the top! It's a bit overwhelming and definitely intimidating to me.

Amazingly, I'm finding most all my answers just by searching this forum. It's nice not having to waste your time asking dumb questions. Although I've been collecting for years, I'm way behind the curve when it comes to the minutiae and getting down into the weeds of coins. (Terminology, Minting Process, Identifying Errors, stuff like that)

Welcome. And don't worry about the dumb questions - I have been here twelve years and I still ask them. The trick is figuring out whose answers you can trust and whose you might take with a grain of salt.

Welcome I’m new here and they’ve already got me buying books instead of coins. Between the questions asked here and books plus google this is heaven for newbies. Now they can get a little rough humor wise and have a laugh or two at our expense (newbies) but all that aside there is an awesome group of extremely knowledgeable folks here. 🤓
