I know a lot of you don't watch wrestling, but Ric Flair and Mick Foley don't like eachother in real life and when they get together to cut a promo in the ring, they let it show. This was pretty darn entertaining.

That was a couple of years ago I believe and Flair is still going strong now today at over 70 years old. Call wrestling what you want but it's one tough gig, a young man's gig. And to see this guy still going strong in that biz at his age is amazing! Long live the Nature Boy! Whoooooooooooo!
It's from 2010, yeah.
Ric just posted a workout photo earlier this week and he's got major biceps going. He looks great for his age especially when you factor in everything he's been through in his life.
He has definitely defied the odds. From the plane crash in his younger years to the health scare a few years ago where he was reportedly on his death bed in the hospital. Wrestling is a rough gig. Unfortunately you see so many of these guys and gals dying way too young as a result. Very tough life. This makes his longevity that much more amazing.
Yeah, wrestling is a tough gig, the punishment their bodies take over the years is unbelievable and Ric Flair is as tough as they come. I remember back in the mid 90s when I was a teenager, Ric Flair was at a Gold's Gym in my city and he was doing a signing session and I got to meet him and shake his hand, he was a really nice man and I remember he had a really strong handshake, he just about crushed my hand. He's been in the business for decades and he's seen it all and he's an absolute legend.
Naitch live in the neighborhood across from me, he gets around and is looking good since he stopped drinking....still gets out and styles and profiles every day!

I love that segment, nobody does it like Ric Flair! 😂😂
I love this segment between two old friends, Ric Flair and Hot Rod Rowdy Roddy Piper.

There's 2 legends there. Roddy gone way too soon.
Yeah, Piper and Flair went way back, they were good friends and it was sad when Piper passed away, Flair was heartbroken. I always loved watching those two together, they knew how to put on a great show.
People like to dump on professional wrestling because it’s staged, but if you do it right, it takes a lot of athletic ability and training. I heard a movie stunt man exclaim how remarkable it was that these guys could pull off live stunt moves with consistency. Having seen a few matches between amateurs who were doing a very poor job of faking it, the true stars are remarkable.
I have a recording of WWF ladder matches. How these guys could fall from and upon those ladders and not end up in the hospital immediately is beyond me. Yes, it is “a soap opera in tights,” but the true artists make it much more.

I've watched wrestling for decades and it's amazing how much punishment their bodies take over the years. The heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury recently wrestled in a match with WWE and he had to train with them before the match and he said you take more punishment in wrestling than you do in boxing because of the constant contact to the entire body.
A lot of people knock wrestling, but some of the most entertaining things I've ever seen have happened in wrestling. I remember when Shane McMahon did this at Wrestlemania 32.

Backlash 2001, Shane McMahon, the leap of faith.

The 1998 King of the Ring, Hell in a cell match between the Undertaker and Mick Foley was one of the greatest and most iconic matches in the history of wrestling because of what Mick Foley did. Before this match, no one had sacrificed his body like Mick Foley did that night. He was thrown off the top of a steel cage through the announcers table table and the audience went crazy because they had never seen anything like it. Later in the match, he was choked slammed on top of the steel cage and the cage broke and Foley went through it. After the match, Foley suffered serious injuries because his tooth had been jammed up through the gums of his mouth from the impact of his falls. Here is the scene with him being thrown off the cage.

Later in the match after Mick Foley recovered from being thrown off the steel cage, they were back on top of the cage and Foley was chokeslammed on top of the cage and it broke and Foley fell through.

The injuries Mick Foley suffered from that match were horrific, you can see in this photo, his tooth actually went up through his gums and is visible sticking out near his nostril, Mick Foley was a beast, who just didn't give a damn, he would do some dangerous things to entertain the fans and the fans loved him for it.
Good! Because I don't like either of them. Fake "sport"
I also remember when Triple H and Mick Foley were on top of the cage at No Way Out in 2000 and Triple H flipped Mick Foley over and the cage broke and Foley went flying down through the cage and hit the ring and his body left a dent in the ring, that was insane. The fans went crazy.

You gotta see this, on Smackdown in 2003, Brock Lesnar suplexed 7"1' 500 pound Big Show off the top rope and when they hit the ring, the ring just imploded and broke apart, the fans went ballistic!

This is another confrontation between Ric Flair and Mick Foley and it's a must see, it gets VERY heated!

wrestling may be scripted, but i couldnt imagine my childhood being scripted w/o it. my lil one is just on the brink of discovering it. and im excited for it…
Just be sure the kid gets to see the legends of the business, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Bret Hart, Triple H, Mick Foley, Randy Savage, Ultimate Warrior, all the guys that made it what it is today!
Shane O Mac!
Shane is fearless, I love when he wrestles because you know he's going to do something crazy. I love this ending to his match with Steve Blackman at Summerslam 2000.
