I thought PSA did two “quality” checks?

Bad enough I wait 40 years and I get this! I guess I could mail it back to them and wait another 30 years to get it back but I don’t think I have that much time left on earth? So I guess I will just enjoy it for a little while then sell it!!!

I'm sorry an error occurred. I am not familiar with this card, but I assume it was labeled incorrectly? It is really too bad that you didn't have time in the past 40 years to review your submission, as there are simple steps one can take to have labels corrected before they are printed and the cards are shipped back to you. I've used it myself.
I would suggest going to the Customer Request Center and filling out a label correction request. I promise it won't take 30 years to fix.
I can say this. I had a pack slab break during shipping to me. I sent it back, and they fixed it extremely quickly. Took less than 2 weeks and didn't cost me a dime.

My pack sub had a bad label. I took the steps that Todd outlined, though, and caught it during the Review phase. It works - my pack was labeled a Pack when I got it.

Now this is funny
Actually its SAD.. This can't happen, seriously do workers not double ck things like players name, details, etc.. wow
I had something similar happen. One of those brown PSA boxes must have been hit pretty hard because the slabs ranged from slight cracks to shattered. The only reason it took as long as a month was because it was difficult for them to contact me to confirm that the grades hadn't changed.
The QA1 and 2 steps are just a way to get you to feel like you are getting your money's worth. Kinda like the "close the door" button on the elevator.

@jackstraw if it makes you feel any better a recent mechanical error I sent in was received on a Friday and delivered back to me the following Friday.

I will concur the PSA CRC service is excellent and efficient. They fixed a label that was incorrect from a card I bought off eBay in just a couple of weeks and cost me nothing.
I'm not familiar with that Gretzky card either... what is wrong with it?
Six sigma.
Kiss me twice.....let's party.
It was sent back to you punched with the Pinnacle Platinum Sets. Really tough card..

I’m sorry, but i’m maybe (probably) obtuse. I’m still not clear on the exact issue. Is it mislabeled? Is it supposed to say “Pinnacle” on the flip?

curious too. 93-94 record, so maybe ‘95 card? not familiar w hockey release dates or the card either, dan.
This card 94 Score Gold was sent in to Pinnacle to redeem the Platinum Kings Set. They punched it with the Pinnacle logo and sent it back to you to keep. The Baseball ones are very tough and expensive! There should be something like redeemed punched on the flip? There is a couple in the pop report and one on eBay right now..

Is the issue that it says "Gold" instead of "Gold Line"? Other than that I'm scratching my head as to what is wrong with it.
Of course mine is way nicer looking

Nice! Never knew about the hole punched parallel, learn something new everyday about 90's hockey!!
So did you use the "Review Order/Report Error option during your long wait, or no?
It was part of a group sub on FB so no I didn’t have access to it but I did fill out the sub form with it on there! Honestly I am over it just wanted to vent and now that I did I feel better…

Do you seriously think it's impossible for two people to make a mistake when doing the same thing over and over thousands of times?
Of course its not impossible..
But I've seen it happen way too often !
And the whole point of the double check system is to prevent this to make sure the first person didn't make a mistake.
Then they're just freaking incompetent.
Sorry, were paying them to do the job properly. That's the problem in this country nowadays everybody accepts it as it's ok.
So I delivered for FedEx for 30 years so I guess it was okay for me to mis-deliver your PSA shipment to someone else and just chalk it up to, I'm overworked, people make mistakes ?! NO..
The Helton/Nomar is an egregious error. I’m not sure this one is the same type of example of an erosion in quality control. IMHO.
Feel free to point out where anyone is saying it's OK...
And you absolutely, positively never made a mistake in your 30 years? Really? I'm gonna bet you did...
I'm saying it's funny because it is sad! I hope you get it corrected fast,, 👍 All my best wishes to you!
Has anyone, anywhere suggested that PSA doesn't correct the mistakes? I'll bet none of your customers would have had any problem if you had gone back to the house you delivered to, picked up the package, and then delivered it correctly. In fact, I'll bet your manager would have heard about your excellent customer service.
