High End Auction question for the board.....

I recently pulled a very high end baseball card and just received news that it graded as a PSA 10. The last sale of this card went for $25,000 on Ebay and it was a Pop Count of 3.
I think I will be looking to sell the one that I have. I wanted to post the question to the forum....with a $25,000 card, what is the best method to sell for maximum value? Auction house (which one???), EBay BIN, or some other means? Thanks in advance.

I'd send it to PWCC.
HOF SIGNED FOOTBALL RCS
what era? modern or a vintage rip?
modern, 2020
These threads keep popping up and they drive me crazy. Why not tell us more about the card, why do we have to keep asking about it, is it some big secret?
Do a search and you will see dozens of consignment/auction threads.

ABSOLUTELY!!!
Oops, my bad, I mistakenly thought I was responding to ndleo's "Am I a Pop Tart" thread. Sorry for the confusion.
Craigslist.
0 Fees.
i get it. being a card forum, naturally im curious too. i want to blatantly ask but then i remember that i never know whats going on in someone elses life. similar to why folks get 6 months to turn in the lotto ticket. to set up a way to perhaps hide it from the public as much as possible and get their affairs in order. some folks want the front page pic w the big check. some you never see or even hear who hit actually hit the mega ball.
ops could have the crazy cousins coming outta the woodwork, possible marital problems or a million other things. could owe someone a bunch of money or perhaps they are just a really quiet type like petey the parakeet!
but doesnt mean we cant slueth.
who was the hot rc or 1st bowman chase card for 2020?
op,
fortunately or unfortunately, theres really only 3 options to consider.
pwcc
goldin
heritage
outta those three, id suggest heritage. but they arent really known for modern so much. outta the other two, id go pwcc. so much more to add, but i wont.
either way if you go w heritage or goldin, for a $25k price tag, you should be able to get a small percentage (4-8%) of the buyers premium. make sure you negotiate that. they certainly wont offer it to you being a first time customer. but it usually is standard should you inquire.
eBay is going to kill you in fees. Do a company auction
5 seconds thought -he's got a Luis Robert PSA 10 pick your poison on type/auto etc etc etc
Auction house- go with PWCC as they have the best Modern following
I'd recommend private treaty but you probably don't know the right folks and are an unknown- so PWCC is your best bet
i was gonna guess a jasson dominguez gold or orange auto refractor maybe?
Duh yeah 2020 for sure !
OMG I agree at least a 50% chance it's one of those two.
What's next, they have a Gretzky rookie and are adamant it's so valuable that it needs to driven to PSA for grading!

jet-set, private charter naturally! 😉
I do think it's best for us to know most of the details. Many times, with new posters, once we get all of the information our opinions change. Now, he says this card already graded a PSA 10, so that takes a lot of the potential guesswork out of this situation.

Wasn't my intention to stir anyone's pot. Was simply looking for thoughts and ideas, as I have not hit a card of this size before. Thanks
yahtzee!
congrats on the pull and grade! and ya didnt stir anyones pot. just a message board. dont let it rain on your parade at all. not sure, but considering its /50 make sure its not his jersey number on the serial number if selling privately. definitely an additional premium if you got even luckier by chance.
Agreed, we have just answered a ton of these vague questions since the hobby took off 2 or 3 years ago and we rarely see the posters stick around once they get the advice they need. Either way welcome to the board.
Blurry, you have hit another homerun with that guess. Your knowledge is a gift!

Nice hit! Guess you won't be selling it through PWCC any time soon. lolzzzzzz
More importantly, did you complain to PSA about the upcharge?
yes, but apparently just grounded out into a game ending double play. op, pwcc is no longer an option. on ebay at least. 😉
Maybe their premium service is an option?
sent some cards to heritage that just ended last night. pretty speechless with what they ended up. plus the additional 8% buyers premium was the whole cherry tree on top.
vintage market extremely strong.
Sell that card extremely fast as it will be worth less than $200 in the future.
Please everyone tag the date and give me credit for being right.
