There are too many eagles this year, like the 2012, 2013!
I still have many sealed boxes of 2-coin set.

Did the value of your older 2 box sets keep their value? I wonder if this year the value will skyrocket? :*

Ok, so I'm relatively new to the hobby, can you tell me what this reverse proof set exactly is? Thanks in advance.

Just 3 weeks until the Reverse Proof Two-Coin Set arrives and not even a hint of any details about it. (other than they'll be from two different mints - W,S)
    Or have I missed something?
Does anyone know if they will both be Type 2?
Or will they be one of each type like the AGE set? (it better not be!)
Will the Mint learn from these recent chaotic releases and decide to postpone this set's release?

Just out of curiosity why would they postpone the release? They already did their upgrades to the site so that should be out of the way now.

I don't think they are or should be satisfied with the performance of the upgrades they installed. They may see a need for additional tweaks.

Item number XJ. If they follow their item numbering routine 2digits is type 1. The type 2’s EAN 3 digit. One slight curse is the similarity of XJ to XE of 2019S ase fame😈

2012S 2coin set. Pf and Rpf They are lovely in hand. The 2013W 2coin set w/enhanced uncirculated is real nice. They can be found now and again fairly reasonable on eBay and such 🤓

My associate and I are wondering what a type 2 reverse proof ase will look like. Neither of us really has warmed up to the type 2 reverse. Reverse proof , enhanced uncirculated all will provide a new look 🤓🙀
    As far as price ? $85 x $85 = $170 plus fancy packaging $10 +. $179.00. to $199.00 😈. $73 + $73 = $146.00 plus packaging $159.00 - $169.00

Why can't it be both? Are people assuming that because they are two different Mints that they can't also be two different reverses?

It’s the mint we’re talking about so anything is possible 🙀

JM- the oh hell factor is that if one is the old design than that would become the last in the type 1 series….

The 2021 American Eagle One Ounce Silver Reverse Proof Two-Coin Set Designer Edition contains one original and one newly re-designed American Eagle One Ounce Silver Coin with stunning reverse proof finishes, a unique set for the serious collector.

    Original Design:

The 2021 obverse original design features Adolph A. Weinman’s full-length figure of Liberty in full stride, enveloped in folds of the flag, with her right hand extended and branches of laurel and oak in her left.

The 2021 reverse original design features a heraldic eagle with shield, an olive branch in the right talon and arrows in the left.

Each coin with the original designs bears the “W” mint mark reflecting it’s striking at the West Point Mint.

    New Design:

The 2021 obverse new design features a refreshed depiction of Weinman’s Liberty. For the “refreshed” redesign, the United States Mint returned to its original historical assets to render a closer reflection of Weinman’s original vision and detail.

The 2021 reverse new design features an eagle as it approaches a landing, carrying an oak branch, as if to add it to a nest.

Each coin with the new designs bears the “S” mint mark reflecting its striking at the San Francisco Mint. To give the new coins an added level of security, they are updated with enhanced security features, including a reeded edge variation.
