I have a 1956 Lincoln cent is the circled areas on the reverse side MD OR DD thanks

    That looks to be lamination issues from your image.

    Yes, Could be lamination, also looks to be above the N in ONE too

    under "OF AMERICA" is a coincidental "surface disturbance" not related to any type of doubling.

    it's hard to figure out what you're talking about with the top of the wheat. the picture is over lit there

    a straight on shot of the whole coin as well would help

    lamination issues, once identified as such, are visible to the naked eye.

    Definitely lamination or gas bubbles in the coin causing the surface to peel or surface. The images arent the best, but to my eye its lamination

    @Boosted .... Welcome aboard. The circled areas appear to be surface anomalies.... Possible Post Mint Damage (PMD)... No numismatic premium there. Cheers, RickO
