Anyone know anything about those medals/ tokens?

Just perusing eBay and found this medal/ token and FDC. Apparently is a five year set for the bicentennial. Are these medals, tokens or something else? Looks like brass, not much value but looks like an interesting small set, the 1976 one for reference (not my photo or auction) .

Bronze medal. Sold by the mint.

The one pictured is in a PNC (Philatheic Numismatic Cover).

I believe the medals were also sold separately, and possibly in a silver version as well.

The number of bicentennial medals approaches infinity. Some pewter medals also as well as bronze,, gold and silver ones. Varies by the specific medal issues.

And then there's the Franklin Mint ones as well.

    The PNC's are quite common.

The envelope and token/medal make a nice Bi-Centennial souvenir, especially with the cancellation date on it. There were thousands of different Bi-Centennial items sold back then. I put away some of the quarters, still have them. Cheers, RickO
