Boy Scout Buckle

Eye ball find in remote desert area. Put up on rock to photo. Only a few threads of the belt material left. A local farmer told me the Boys Scouts used to clear the old Native American trails crossing the desert and mountain areas back in the 1960's.

Yep. Brass. I had the same one from the Boy Scouts back in the day but is long gone. Seeing that one brought a smile to my face in a otherwise grueling three day trek.
