Glenna Goodacre sculpture in Hamilton, Ohio.

I have ran across artwork in some of the major cities of the US that were designed by artists that also had their hand in coin design. Most notably, was a Seated Lincoln in Grant Park (Chicago) designed by St. Gaudens. Took a trip this week to Hamilton, Ohio to view sculpture and art, as they advertise themselves as "City of Sculpture". I was not disappointed. Recognized Glenna's name and surprised to see she had also worked in bronze. The 6 piece bronze setting is named "Park Place" and has life sized sculptures depicting a park setting.
My wife and I stayed downtown at the Marriot and thoroughly enjoyed the offerings of such a small city. Well worth the day to see the Sculpture both in the city and nearby Sculpture Park named Pyramid Hill.
Post a Sacagawea Dollar in memory of a great artist and designer!

Thanks for the link. I believe I met her at the FUN show one year. She was very generous with her time.
